To preview an assembly
- Ensure that the Detail Preview button on the Prospector tab is selected.
- In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, correct-click the Assemblies collection and click Evidence Preview.
Notation: A cheque marker is displayed next to the Show Preview menu item when the preview is enabled.
- In the Prospector tree, click the associates that yous want to preview.
The assembly is displayed in the Prospector item view.
Note: The preview of the assembly uses the same display styles equally the associates in the drawing area.
To copy an associates
Copying an associates creates a new assembly using the standard object naming convention. If the associates has subassemblies associated with it, new subassembly objects are also created. The new assembly is placed in the drawing and in the Assemblies collection in the Prospector tree. The new subassemblies are included in the associates, and are also displayed in the Prospector tree equally new subassembly objects.
When you lot copy an assembly, the new assembly is named using an incremental naming convention. For example if the original assembly that is copied is named "Associates 1", the new associates is named "Assembly one (1)". If assembly 1 is copied once again, the new assembly is named "Assembly ane (ii)". If "Assembly 1 (1)" is copied, the new associates is named "Assembly ane (ane) (2)".
This same naming convention besides applies to any new subassemblies created when copying an assembly.
- In the drawing area, right-click the associates baseline and click Basic Modify Tools Copy.
At the control line, you are prompted to specify a base of operations point for the assembly.
- Pick an insertion point in the drawing surface area.
The assembly is copied in the cartoon and added as a new assembly to Assemblies collection.
- To edit the proper name of the associates, right-click the associates in the Prospector tree and click Properties.
The Assembly Properties dialog box is displayed with the Information tab agile. The Proper noun field contains the name of the copied assembly, which is, by default " <assembly proper name> (1)."
- Enter a new proper name in the Name field.
- To edit the description of the associates, enter a new description in the Clarification field.
- Click Apply to have the changes, or click OK to have the changes and close the Assembly Properties dialog box.
To delete an assembly
Deleting an assembly erases it, and associated subassemblies, from the cartoon and removes them from the Assemblies and Subassemblies collections in the Prospector tree.
- In the drawing area, right-click the assembly baseline, or select the entire assembly object, and click Bones Alter Tools Erase.
- In the Prospector tree, correct-click the assembly and click Delete.
Do one of the following:
The associates is erased from the cartoon and removed from the Assemblies collection in the Prospector tree.
To insert an associates into modelspace
- In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Assemblies collection.
- Select the associates you want to insert. Right-click. Click Insert into Modelspace.
- In modelspace, click a location for the assembly.
To remove all assemblies from modelspace
You lot can remove assemblies from modelspace, simply continue them in the Assemblies collection in Prospector for afterwards employ.
- In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, select the Assemblies collection.
- Right-click. Click Remove All from Modelspace.
To remove an assembly from modelspace
- In modelspace, select the assembly you desire to remove.
- Correct-click. Click Remove from Modelspace.
OR
- In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, expand the Assemblies collection.
- Select the associates you want to remove.
In Prospector, indicates that an assembly is in modelspace.
- Right-click. Click Remove from Modelspace.
To erase all unreferenced assemblies from the drawing
Yous tin can erase all assemblies that are non referenced in a corridor. When assemblies are erased, they are removed from modelspace and the Assemblies collection in Prospector. They are no longer available in the drawing.
- In Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, select the Assemblies collection.
- Right-click. Click Erase All Unreferenced Assemblies.
