WWE Superstar Paige made history as the first NXT Women'due south Champion and the youngest-ever Diva's Champion before she had to retire from in-band competition in Jan 2018.

After suffering a neck injury during a WWE live result in belatedly 2017, Paige was told she would never wrestle again, meaning her career was over at just 25.

Then, in April, Paige appeared on Renee Paquette's Oral Sessions podcast and confirmed she wants to make a comeback.

Paige said: "[My cervix] feels good and, honestly, it really scares me as well to maybe come up back to wrestling considering I really want to and I would come up back tomorrow but I'm always gonna accept in the back of my head, like what if something happens and I do get paralysed?

"So it does scare me. I know I'g not gonna be fully ready mentally to come back, only watch out world! Because when I am mentally ready to come dorsum, everyone'southward in problem!"

In July, Paige told her followers that she was back in the gym and able to lift heavier weights than before.

"Yous guys I'm getting stronger squatting 185lbs over again," Paige tweeted. "I know it'southward not a ton just it's a large accomplishment for me who was worried to do whatever gym stuff because of my neck. But my neck is feeling so awesome. I'1000 so proud of myself."

A month subsequently she told fans on Twitter she was now getting stronger and squatting 205lbs.

A few weeks later Paige gave her biggest hint yet that a comeback was imminent, tweeting: "I'm non done nonetheless," and a flexed bicep emoji.

Then, in September, Paige simply tweeted "January". causing fans to speculate that we could be seeing her make a massive return, potentially at the Royal Rumble.

Finally, on Monday (October xi) Paige shared an prototype of her wrestling boots with the Divas Title and a poster of the film Fighting With My Family unit (which is based on her life) in the background.

Paige has also revealed (via her Twitch stream) that her WWE contract doesn't expire until June 2022.
